About
MorCon is made by Black Decimal Games, a small team of 3 based in Singapore. And by 3, we mean 3 people in total, not 3 heads or founders. But, what we lack in quantity, we make up for (hopefully) in passion and pride in our craft. We have many ideas for fun board games, and MorCon is but the first of our endeavors meant to test and refine our game-making skills. Our long-term goal is to create a series of fun digital board games with complex yet fun mechanics for catering to board game enthusiasts who enjoy balanced but difficult to master games. Hence, and for now, we would greatly appreciate any suggestions & critique for our work.
In this realm, much like our own, humanity thrives. However, some critique that, here, the triumph of civilization is underserved and unearned. Supposed divine beings have long revealed themselves to humanity. The self-dubbed True Gods gifted humanity with incredible knowledge, catalyzing technology, society, and civil development. Yet, as evil spreads from dark unknowns, the True Gods have gone largely silent, doing seemingly little to counteract the tide of destruction. Some say that their silence must be a test of faith. Others speculate that the so-called Dark Gods have sent these evils, veiled in a twisted divinity which impedes direct intervention. Regardless, war is now a reality and factions of divinity and humanity alike contend to forward their agendas. Which side shall you stand with?
Deathtide
Emerging from dark unknowns, the Deathtide culminates in indiscriminate destruction as a scourge upon the world.
Purged of lofty desire and feeling, Pure Demons are bound to indiscriminate destruction. Amongst their victims, some are infected and turn to bloodlust. Those who fail to pacify their newfound addictions amalgamate into Assimilated Ghouls: grotesque hiveminds that maintain only limited sentience.
Deathtide hits hard, tossing allies & enemies alike as if they were rag dolls, and evolving to hit even harder.
Arbitrators
Little is known about the criteria for selection, but the Chosen of the True Gods gain immense power at the expense of their ability to communicate with other humans.
Religious maidens of purity inexplicably transform, without warning, into Mahou Shoujo. Boys who go missing are said to return as Angelic Constructs. They speak only in expressive faces and organ-like hums respectively.
On the field, Arbitrators emphasize board control and boast unique abilities reflective of domains granted unto them.
Congregation
Not all Demon attack survivors transform into full monstrosity. Many retain sentience and gain powers but become ostracized.
Shifter Ghouls are individuals who resist their newfound desires. They possess augmented strength and an ability to augment life forces. Some are luckier; Demon Halflings are those blessed by Primordial Spirits before the infection takes hold. They retain full sentience and gain martial prowess along with enhanced physical power.
Congregation units mix survivability with unique interactions that require planning around board states to create one-hit-kill opportunities.
Union
Although the sudden emergence of evil and resultant chaos have led to some opportunistic inter-nation wars, most have united under one banner to counteract the new chaos.
To even the playing field against unnatural horrors, The Union handpicks its best soldiers to pilot powerful Mechs. Simultaneously, individuals of renown, blessed by Primordial Spirits, are sought out and trained to join the fight.
Combined arms tactics define The Union’s play-style, and the activation & management of synergy is critical for unforeseen kill streaks.
